Application Instructions and Form
Travel Reimbursement
Students presenting a contributed paper as a first or sole author during the 2011 AES meeting are invited to apply for financial assistance to attend the meeting. All applicants MUST be members in good standing of AES (dues paid by January 1, 2011) and in at least their second year of membership. The maximum award will not exceed $500. Students are only eligible for travel assistance once per degree. Assistance will be need-based (when funds are limiting and the society is not able to fund all applicants). In these instances priority will be given to students with completed research projects to present rather than preliminary analyses.

Submit an electronic copy of your proposal to the Grant Committee Chair (**preferred!**)
-or-
Submit FIVE (5) paper copies of a complete application package
The completed application package includes:
1) A completed application form
2) Itemized budget showing how the funds will be spent
3) An abstract of the paper or poster to be presented.
4) A short formal letter indicating how the support will be used and why it is needed. This letter should include an indication of other funding that has been applied for or secured.
